Fishing Report

It is of great importance that we continue to monitor and update the fishing report. The information contained here is for real and not intended to mislead anyone.

Captain Chad in Puerto Jimenez - 4/3/2008 One captain caught 3 sails, 2 rooster fish and a 30# snapper. 4/1/2008 Josh Wilson and his wife caught 3 sails fishing half day offshore and 1/2 day inshore March 29th and 30th two day fishing tournament 70 miles offshore. 13 sails including 3 after dark

Captain Rob in Carrillo - He has indicated that the blue waters have come closer to shore due to warm waters in the month of March. This resulted in slower fishing in March but has returned to good fishing in April. He has been running into schools of 20-30 sails. He is averaging 3-4 sails per day and 1-2 large marlin.

Olman Playa Coco - Fishing has been slower lately. He reports catches of yellow fin tuna, dorado and rooster fish.

Captain Tom Jaco - Tom has been averaging 3-4 sails a day and 1 blue marlin. April 4th he raised 12 sails and a 350# blue marlin

Captain Jeff Jaco - Jeff is in the process of rebuilding his newly acquired 52 foot Hattaras. He expects to complete the refurbishing by the end of the month. He is presently fishing with a 25 footer and the 1/2 and full day fares are reasonable. He is averaging 3-4 sails a day and often accompanied by Wahoo, marlin and rooster fish.

Caribbean - Snook and tarpon fishing has been out of this world. The river has been lower recently making it easier to get to open waters.

March 30th Tim Singewald of Wyoming fished 2 days. Tim jumped 10 tarpon and boated 2. His partner Dave Hoffman fished one day and jumped 1 tarpon, boating none. Repeat guest Richard & Jennie Prodgers jumped 9 tarpon and boated 2, as well as a jack.

March 23rd Tim Singewald of Wyoming fished 2 days. Tim jumped 10 tarpon and boated 2. His partner Dave Hoffman fished one day and jumped 1 tarpon, boating none. Repeat guest Richard & Jennie Prodgers jumped 9 tarpon and boated 2, as well as a jack.
